Use OpenDNS for safer browsing.

image I've talked about OpenDNS in the past, but I just wanted to mention it again in light of recent DNS vulnerability.

In short, it's not vulnerable. So, if you test your ISP's DNS servers and find they haven't been patched yet, you may want to give OpenDNS a try. It's free and powerful. You can use their basic service by simply changing your DNS servers to 208.67.222.222 and 208.67.220.220. That's really all you need to do. There's no signing up for anything, paying anyone anything, or anything like that. Just change the primary and secondary DNS servers in your network settings.

If you want to use their more advanced services, like content blocking, then you need to sign up for an account. Again, this is completely free and painless.

So why not sign up today?

Update: Mike passed along this link to a pretty nice Webmonkey article to help get you set up with OpenDNS. Check it out.
