4 Tech Blogs That You Should Be Reading

I don't always have all that much time to read my RSS feeds. Because of this I've really cut down on the number of blogs that I subscribe to, and I've also weeded out a number of blogs that I just never had the time to read.

Basically, a blog has to be pretty good for me to add it to my reader these days. Here are some Tech blogs that I think are good enough to be read, and read frequently.

4SysOps - Michael has been working hard on this blog, and it shows. Focused at System Administrators and Power Users, it's very tech orientated. You'll find everything from free utilities to various tech related articles. Michael is also pretty active on Twitter, and I'll have to say, that it's pretty neat to know that being a SysOp is pretty much the same in Munich Germany, where he's at, as it is here in Colorado.

The Dirt Team.com / ActiveDir.org blogs - Well, it's no secret that I do Windows. I run a Windows Network, with Windows stations. Heck, the only windows in my office are Microsoft Windows. So of course, I work with Active Directory. Using this as one of the 4 items in this list is kind of cheating, because it actually aggregates a whole slew of blogs. Either way, it's worth checking out if you use Windows Server products and Active Directory. Lot of good stuff.

Geeks are Sexy - I've already linked to one of the posts here at least a time or two, but I haven't specifically written about the blog itself. This is one great blog. Lots of tech posts, lots of just plain geeky posts. The site boasts 8 different contributing authors, mostly system administrators, but also with other backgrounds. Well worth the time to read.

Make Use Of - I found this blog recently when I was looking for the solution to a problem. This is another multiple author blog which has a whole slew of posts on cool stuff. Lots of web service related posts, reviews, cool tools, and tips. Great blog, and they just recruited some new authors, so even more good stuff is coming. Check it out.

No Problem

I agree:-)

I was blown away when Chip mentioned JCL in his ascent of Scripting Languages. There aren't many who remember that one.

Great site! Keep up the good work.

I've head of only two of these. 4SysOps I heard of from you because you've mentioned it on a couple of occasions, and Geeks Are Sexy because I've read a few things there myself.

But I hadn't heard of the other two. I'll have to check them out.

Thanks for the great info!
