Is there an echo in here?

I left a little note in the beginning of Episode 015, but I wanted to mention it here as well. For some reason, Art's Microphone was picking up an echo of my voice. We're going to look into it, and it's probably as easy to fix as having Art turn his volume down a little.

I tried to edit all of the echo out, which was pretty easy for periods where Art wasn't talking, but it was incredibly time intensive. Unfortunately, time isn't something I have a whole lot of. So I ended up leaving lots of it in there.

I hope it wasn't too distracting or annoying.

I'm sure you've heard or read me talking about Twit. Leo Laporte churns out a whole slew of podcasts every week, and his work is what I hold up as the gold standard. I don't always agree with his guests, or with him, but the podcasts are very well done, professional, and entertaining.

Today, I saw this note on Pownce from Leo,and I felt a little better. In the last TWIT episode there was a stray audio track left in there. He's fixed it now, but I listened to it before he did, and it wasn't a big deal to me.

I know Leo has a large amount of money invested in his studio, and a staff of people to help him out, yet problems still arise. So of course it's going to happen to us too.

All we can really do is try to fix the problems, and do the best we can.

Anyway, thanks for listening, and I hope it didn't effect your listening experience too much.

I think I just need to turn

I think I just need to turn the volume down in my headset. I tend to turn it up a little loud and whatever i'm hearing comes across in the mic also.

I guess I could use a mic that's seperate from the headset if we can't find a better solution.

Yup

I'm betting that's all it is too. I have the headphone / mic combo, and don't have that problem.
